Canvas Print Size Guide: Choosing the Right Size for Every Room
Why size matters
The right canvas size balances the wall, the furniture, and the artwork itself. A piece that is too small gets lost; one that is too large overwhelms the room. Start with the wall you want to fill, then pick the size that suits the space.
Our 8 canvas sizes
We print on premium UV canvas in eight sizes: 8 x 12, 12 x 18, 18 x 24, 20 x 30, 24 x 36, 30 x 40, 36 x 48, and 48 x 66. Each is available Rolled or Stretched, so you can frame it yourself or hang it straight away.
Small spaces: 8 x 12 to 12 x 18
Compact prints work well in bathrooms, small kitchens, entryways, and narrow hallways. A single 12 x 18 canvas over a console table or beside a mirror adds colour without crowding the wall.
Mid-size rooms: 18 x 24 to 24 x 36
These are our most popular sizes for living rooms, bedrooms, and offices. An 18 x 24 canvas suits a side wall or above a desk; a 24 x 36 canvas anchors a sofa or bed with confidence.
Large spaces: 30 x 40 to 48 x 66
For dining rooms, staircases, and wide accent walls, go large. A 36 x 48 or 48 x 66 canvas becomes the focal point of the room. When in doubt, size up — a bold piece is easier to live with than one that feels too small.
A simple measuring trick
Rule of thumb: the canvas should cover roughly two-thirds to three-quarters of the width of the furniture beneath it. For a 200 cm sofa, aim for a canvas around 120–150 cm wide.
